• You will engage in a collaborative environment with dynamic studio projects for both in-class and real-world clients. The programme employs a project-based learning approach that addresses the design, digital content creation, communication, interpersonal, mechanical, technical, and enhanced employability skills. You will participate in field placements in the third year to reinforce professional industry standards.
• The programme supports student membership in the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) which provides access to Toronto's annual DesignThinkers conference and a variety of resources on the RGD website. Many Conestoga Graphic Design students have won regional, national, and international awards for their design work from the RGD, the Advertising and Design Club of Canada (ADCC), Applied Arts, and Print.
• As a Conestoga graphic design graduate, you will be prepared for junior-level design positions in graphic design studios, advertising agencies, in-house communication departments, and technology-based companies. Your knowledge of design thinking, research, process, and practical skills will be used to plan and create visual design in collaboration with colleagues, supervisors, art or creative directors, project managers, and clients.
