Studying this Business Administration - Marketing advanced Diploma offered at Fanshawe College you'll gain industry knowledge for a career in marketing.
Students who have completed the two-year marketing diploma program can continue for a third year to earn an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in business administration marketing.
A unique feature of this program is Fanshawe's collaborative relationship with Google and the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization, which allows students to gain experience in search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) by running live campaigns for real clients using Google Adwords and Google Analytics. The program prepares students to pursue Google designations that are in high demand but not widely available.
Graduates will have superior analytical, decision-making and communication skills and the ability to succeed in a variety of marketing disciplines. Graduates who meet admission requirements are also eligible for transfer to the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Digital Marketing) degree. You can also be eligible to complete a degree at many other post-secondary institutions or complement your advanced diploma with a Fanshawe graduate certificate.

- Develop an integrated marketing communication plan for marketing of a product, concept, good, or service based on an identified market need or target;
- Determine strategies for the development of new and/or modified marketing concepts, products, goods, and/or services that respond to evolving market needs;
- Determine strategies for the efficient and effective placement/distribution of a product, good, and/or service that respond to an evolving market;
- Determine the impact of using different marketing strategies for a product, concept, good and/or service, on the finances, return on investment (ROI), and business goals of an organization;
- Analyze the viability of a concept, product, good, and/or service in local, national or global markets;
- Conduct market research to provide information needed to make marketing decisions;
- Communicate marketing information persuasively and accurately in oral, written, graphic and interactive media formats;
- Plan, prepare and deliver an effective sales presentation or pitch to address the needs of the client;
- Develop strategies with clients, customers, consumers, co-workers, supervisors, and others to maintain and grow working relationships;
- Develop learning and development strategies to enhance professional growth in the field;
- Apply entrepreneurial strategies to identify and respond to new career opportunities that might include contract employment, and self-employment initiatives;
- Apply and contribute to a framework of organizational policies and practices, when conducting business of the organization;
- Apply the principles of business ethics and corporate social responsibility to business decisions.

- Business - Marketing Ontario College Diploma from Fanshawe College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA)
- An equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA)
- A combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the College to be equivalent to the above
- Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English
