
Overview
The program specialties include children’s book illustration, comics, spot and advertising illustration and concept art for film and game animation.
In addition to building on visual art skills such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and digital media, you may also be able to register your own small business. You will have the skills to succeed as an entrepreneurial artist with a website, accounting, marketing and revenue generating skills in the curriculum.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant
- English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course
- Art portfolio
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents may satisfy the English and/or mathematics requirements for this program through successful Seneca pre-admission testing.
After you apply, you will receive details on how to submit your resume and art portfolio online.
Your portfolio should include a total of ten pieces:
- Two life drawings of entire body in various poses.
- Two drawings of your own non-drawing hand
- Two object drawings: solid everyday items from around your house
- Two environment drawings: a two-point perspective view of a room in your house from opposite corners.
- Two drawings or other art of your choice. Choose work that shows your interests and other skills.
