Overview
This Business - Accounting (Co-op) Graduate Diploma offered at Fanshawe College is designed to prepare graduates to work in an accounting environment at the entry or intermediate accounting level, the Business - Accounting (Co-op) programme of Fanshawe College starts with accounting fundamentals and then moves to detailed accounting principles and concepts, including computerized accounting.
When you graduate, you’ll have the skills required for success in a corporate accounting department in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, merchandising, banks and other financial institutions. You’ll also be prepared to work in public accounting firms and federal, provincial and municipal government offices. The paid co-op work term you’ll complete will provide you with valuable work experience as well.

General requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant with the following courses
- - Grade 12 English (C or U)
- - Grade 11 Math (C, U or M - minimum of 60%), or Grade 12 Math (C or U)
- Students who do not meet the admission requirements are recommended for academic upgrading. A conditional offer may be possible with proof of enrolment. Alternatively, applicants missing the required courses may want to consider our one-year Business Fundamentals preparatory programme. Upon graduation, students can enter level 2 of any business diploma programme in the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business.
- Graduates of this programme may choose to transfer into Fanshawe's Business Administration - Accounting Advanced Diploma or the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Degree programmes after completing the bridging requirements.
