Throughout the Business Graduate Diploma at Fanshawe College you’ll study and collaborate with future colleagues, networking with experienced professors. Your concepts of leadership, whether with a small business, in entry-level management, in the not-for-profit sector, or within corporations, will be nurtured and challenged.
You’ll examine case studies as you earn your diploma and develop real business skills.
If you have an interest in all aspects of business, this program is for you. You’ll explore ethical and sustainable business practices as well as individual areas of business that are of greater interest to you. You’ll be exposed to business that meets the needs of a career in management, whether in a large organization or a family business.
Career opportunities:
Graduates of Fanshawe’s Business program enter the workforce on a management career path in large and small businesses across industries, as well as the not-for-profit sector and government. Graduates are also suited for a variety of entry-level positions, including management trainee, store supervisor, office supervisor, operations supervisor and production supervisor. Graduates may also choose to launch and manage their own small businesses.

Work with business units, write and edit communications and documentation, assist client meetings, print and handle orders and documents for employees and clients.

General requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant with the following courses
- - Grade 12 English (C or U)
- - Grade 11 Math (C, U or M - minimum of 60%), or Grade 12 Math (C or U)
- Students who do not meet the admission requirements are recommended for academic upgrading. A conditional offer may be possible with proof of enrolment. Alternatively, applicants missing the required courses may want to consider our one-year Business Fundamentals preparatory program. Upon graduation, students can enter level 2 of any business diploma program in the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business.
- Graduates of Business may choose to transfer into Fanshawe's Business Administration - Leadership and Management Advanced Diploma or the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Management) Degree program after completing the bridging requirements.
Technological requirements
- Please note, a laptop is recommended for this program. It is recommended that students use a PC laptop vs. a Mac laptop, as Windows is required to be able to load program-specific software
