Overview

In the first year, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of business management with courses including marketing, human resources, accounting, computer applications, global business principles and ethics. Second year will expand on these foundations with advanced business courses that all organizations consider essential. Students will study current trends and issues in social media marketing, organizational behaviour, business intelligence, business law, operations management, and economics.

This Business program from Lambton College allows for maximum flexibility as students can transfer into the three-year Business Administration - General program at any time. After term 1, students can move directly into term 2 of the two-year Business - Accounting or the three-year Business Administration - Accounting programs.

Employment Opportunities

The solid grounding in business fundamentals and the focus on acquiring practical skills has served our graduates well when it comes time to begin their careers. Previous graduates have found employment at various levels in banking, retail, sales, sports management, supply chain management, and in media and promotion. Some graduates have opted to participate in entrepreneurial opportunities.

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:

Grade 12 English C or U

Grade 11 or 12 Mathematics C or U

Mature applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the start of classes, be out of secondary school for at least one year and usually do not have a high school diploma. Mature applicant assessment for this program is available in the Counselling Department in the subjects of English and Math.
