Overview

The Environmental Geosciences Specialist program at University of Toronto aims at preparing students for a variety of careers in industry, government and academia that require knowledge of Earth and Environmental science such as environmental consulting and assessment, water quality, waste management and sustainability.

Jointly sponsored by the School of the Environment and the Department of Earth Sciences. Students should note that under the Professional Geoscientists Act of 2000, individuals practicing Environmental Geoscience in Ontario require education that fulfills APGO knowledge requirements.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

An International Baccalaureate Diploma is required for admission consideration; the IB Certificate is not sufficient for admission consideration.

Prerequisite courses can be presented at Standard Level (SL) or Higher Level (HL).

SL or HL English is required for admission consideration.

The following IB Math courses will satisfy the Calculus prerequisite for science and business programs:
