Overview
The Music With Theatre and Performance (Hons) course from Bangor University covers a broad range of historical and stylistic repertories and composers from the Renaissance to the present day. Options enable you to study popular music and culture, composition, music in health and wellbeing, to explore the literary aspects of setting texts to music, or to enhance your solo and/or ensemble performance skills.
In Drama, you’ll gain a solid grounding in the theatrical movements that have influenced modern theatre, and the intellectual and historical factors that shaped these movements. You will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of practices, such as devising, community theatre, acting skills, and both solo and group performances.
Join field trips to the theatre, recitals, film showings, and art galleries, learning how compositions and dramatic productions are created broadens your creative repertoire. We'll encourage you to find new ways of self-expression.

For all Music courses the ability to read staff notation is required.
Offers are tariff based, 96 - 120 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g:
- A Levels: grade B Music**. General Studies and Key Skills not normally accepted.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (including grade H5 in Music)
- BTEC National/Extended Diploma in Music: MMM - DDM (including a unit demonstrating the ability to read staff notation or see**)
- Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma: MMM - DDM**
- City & Guilds Advanced Technical/Extended Diploma: Case by case**
- Access**
- Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted
- Points from grade examinations are taken into consideration where appropriate, although are not normally included in the offer.
- T-levels: considered on a case-by-case basis.
