Description
The Rosie Skelton Scholarship was established in memory of Rosie Skelton, who played a significant role in the musical life of North Wales, teaching violin at Bangor University and leading the University Symphony Orchestra for many years. The scholarship is open to violinists enrolling on the BA Music or BMus Music programme and aims to support students with outstanding performance ability. The successful recipient is also expected to perform at a recital during the academic year.
Benefits
The scholarship provides a £1,000 award to support undergraduate music studies.
Eligibility
- Must have applied for and enrol on the BA Music or BMus Music programme at Bangor University.
- Must be a violinist with a performance standard of at least Grade 7 ABRSM or equivalent.
- Must begin the course in September.
- Deferred entry applicants are not eligible.
- Open to UK (Home) applicants. International and EU applicants should contact the university to confirm eligibility.
