Dalhousie University 's Bachelor of Commerce programme allows you to develop valuable skills, gain experience, and build a professional network before you begin your career—all while earning a pay cheque.

There are seven majors to choose from:

Programme options

The Bachelor of Commerce programme has a mandatory co-op programme that includes three paid work terms, combining on-campus study with off-campus work-integrated learning experiences. Approved work terms can be completed locally, nationally, or internationally. Past students have worked in a variety of roles and settings including marketing agencies, accounting firms, banks and financial intuitions, government, and non-profits.The following Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) programme options are offered by Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management. =

What you will learn

Whether you choose to focus your studies by declaring a major, or customize your degree to meet your career goals, you'll learn the foundational business disciplines of marketing, accounting, finance, business management and organizational behaviour. 

You'll also gain valuable IT skills as you learn to work with spreadsheet programmes, database packages, and other software applications used in statistical analysis, financial projections, and market research.

The programme provides opportunities for students to pursue studies in topic areas such as the humanities and social sciences, and in the functional areas of business. Graduates are competitive in the global, diverse, and continually changing workplace.
