Overview

The Dental Surgery curriculum at Sichuan University has been structured to prepare graduates to do the following:

Have basic theory and knowedge of preclinical and clinical medicin.
Use stomatological knowledge and skills to resolve common ailments and frequently-occurring diseases of oral cavity and maxillofacial part, as well as initial treatment to emergency, rare and serious illness.
Master basic knowledge and general skills of prosthodontics.

Have the capability to pass the national practitioners qualifying examination.

Requirements of Program

Students are expected to have acquired competences in the following domains:

Knowledge Base: master the basic theories and concepts of Basic & Clinical Medicine.
Professionalism: master basic theoretical and practical skills of all dental specialties.
Legal Awareness: Familiar with China’s national healthcare policies and regulations.
Information Retrieval: able to identify, gather and analyse primary data and source material in medical research.
Chinese Proficiency: Able to use the language fluently and accurately. Able to read all styles and forms of the language pertinent to professional needs.
Basic Computer Skills
Lifelong Learning Skills: creativity and critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.
