- A level offer AAA (depending on subjects taken)
- A level or Higher Level (IB) maths plus one of the following; physics, chemistry, biology, design and technology, geography, geology, computing or further mathematics.
- Excludes general studies, thinking skills, global perspectives and research, critical thinking.
- For A level subjects containing a practical examination, a pass in this element is also preferred.
