As a Deviner you become someone who is able to reflect, research, design and develop for (future) digital products. Our entire curriculum is based on these 3 core skills.
Devine is renowned for its talented students with a desirable and highly employable skillset. Once you've graduated, you can start immediately as an Experience Designer, Front-end Developer, Interaction Designer, Motion Designer, Full Stack Developer, Mobile Developer or simply Deviner.

The Digital Design and Development (DEVINE) programme is offered at Howest University of Applied Sciences .
The final 3 months of Devine are dedicated to an internship. We have an extensive list of internships for students to choose from. You can expect to end up in a challenging creative sector with both national and international agencies. Approximately 85% of the students are offered a permanent contract at the place of their internship. Job security is a fact when you have a Devine diploma.

- Candidates wishing to study at Devine must fill out the online student application form.
- You will then be asked to send your legalised diplomas/certificates and transcripts. If you have not graduated before the application deadline but wish to start the application process, you will receive alternative steps.
Your application is screened and you will be notified if the faculty rewards you a Certificate of Acceptance Letter to Devine.

Foreign Students
Some foreign students can apply for a student grant. The following outline gives general information about organizations awarding scholarships.
Student grants of the Flemish Community
- Certain categories of students staying in Belgium are entitled to a student grant from the Flemish Government, provided that they fulfill the academic and financial conditions as stipulated in the legislation:
- Children of citizens of a member state of the European Union who are working in Belgium or who have worked here and who are under art.12 of the E.E.C. Regulation 1612/68 of the Council of 15 October 1968 regarding the free movement of workers within the European Union
- Students with a foreign nationality having a permanent residence permit
- Refugees and their children, whose request for asylum has been declared admissible.
Student grants from The European Union
The European Union grants scholarships to students from EU member states (and certain non-member states) who wish to undertake a period of study at a university of another member state (or in some 57 countries outside the European Union). Student mobility grants are not full grants, but are intended to cover certain costs of studying abroad (travel expenses, language preparation costs, etc.). Erasmus seeks to improve the European dimension of higher education in the EU as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Students wishing to benefit from an Erasmus grant must apply via their home university or college.
Student grants from Howest STUVO
During the first year of their studies, international students are NOT eligible for a student grant from Howest. Only after passing the first year successfully, certain categories of foreign students can apply for (non-) reclaimable financial aid on the basis of their individual file. This application has to be made at the Howest’s Student Services office (STUVO). For more information, please contact Howest STUVO .
Student grants from your own government
Student grants can also be awarded by the student’s own government. The student should contact the appropriate authorities to inquire about any possible financial assistance.
Belgian Students Grants
Belgian students are entitled to a student grant of from the Flemish Government, provided that they fulfill the academic and financial conditions.
