Overview

With a strong focus on clinical applications, the BEng Biomedical Engineering (Hons) course at the University of Surrey explores a broad curriculum. This includes human movement, biosensors, prosthesis design, biomedical signal processing and implant technology, among other topics.

Careers and graduate prospects

Most of our biomedical engineering graduates at the University of Surrey proceed directly to employment in the biomedical engineering profession. Biomedical engineers can work in a number of areas, including as clinical scientists in the NHS, in rehabilitation, as designers of medical equipment, or even in sports science or biomechanics.
A significant number of our students also go on to further their studies with postgraduate qualifications in biomedical engineering and related disciplines.
