This combined Bachelor of Science - Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours in Engineering degree from University of Tasmania embeds climate mitigation and adaptation into every aspect of engineering. - Explain the methodologies of science and the role and relevance of science in society.
- Apply in-depth knowledge and skills in one or more scientific disciplines to provide specialist advice and functions in a range of contexts.
- Design and implement scientific investigations, including quantitative analysis and critical evaluation of results.
- Communicate scientific results, information, and arguments, to a range of audiences, for a range of purposes, and using a variety of modes

- Solve complex engineering problems through applying established engineering and innovate climate safe methods and conceptual knowledge of the natural and physical sciences.
- Design and evaluate engineering components, systems and/or processes to meet technical, legislative, environmental, economic and social requirements while addressing longer term climate impacts.
- Contribute to authentic engineering projects by demonstrating the professional qualities required for accreditation as an engineer in Australia.
- Communicate original research conclusions for an academic audience derived from a self-managed honours project in an engineering-related area of inquiry
