Hobart city life
Hobart is a beautiful city with a unique charm, and a well-preserved historic architecture, dating from the Georgian and Victorian eras, giving the city an "Old World" atmosphere.

Hobart also organises many sport events, like Targa Tasmania rally car event, which is held annually in April. You can also watch matches of the local cricket, football, rugby and basketball teams.
Popular restaurant spots include Elizabeth Street in North Hobart, and Salamanca Place near the waterfront. In terms of nightlife, you can choose between many pubs, bars and clubs and enjoy a fun night out.

Hobart is a cloudy city, having the second fewest daily average hours of sunshine in Australia, after Melbourne, with 6 hours per day. However, during the summer, the city has the most hours of daylight of any Australian city, with 15 hours on the summer solstice. Hobart rarely receives snow during the winter, but the adjacent Mount Wellington is often seen with a snow cap, during the other seasons as well. The average high temperatures in January are 21 °C (71 °F) and in July, temperature goes down to 11 °C (53 °F).
