Your Career
Everywhere you look, people are tweeting, posting, sharing, writing, shooting video, creating audio projects and more. But how can you tell what’s accurate, what has merit and what is important? The need for news and expertise – the hallmark of journalism at Humber – has never been greater.
While, historically, many graduates have found work as a reporter for a newspaper, a radio or TV station or as a magazine feature writer, today you may be just as likely to see your career develop in digital communications, either working for an enterprise or developing your own independent entrepreneurial brand.
As media organizations change to meet the needs of the public, there are more opportunities for people with modern communication skillsets to begin their careers. These skills are transferable to all industries and sectors – wherever there are organizations looking to communicate their message, build their brand and tell their stories.
