A Paramedic provides specialist care and essential treatment to patients of all ages in a variety of dynamic emergency and urgent healthcare settings. Very often the first emergency service and healthcare expert on scene, they can administer a range of life-saving treatments and provide vital information and support to people suffering from a variety of traumatic injuries and/or medical problems.

General Requirements

  • A Level: BCC, from three academic subjects to include a science subject. Excludes General Studies.
  • BTEC: DMM in a Health subject.
  • IB Diploma: 27 points with a minimum of 14 at higher to include a minimum of one science subject.
  • GCSE requirement: Minimum 5 GCSEs graded 9-4 / A*- C including English Language, Mathematics and Science or specified equivalents.
  • Portfolio: Applicants will be required to attend an interview and complete a literacy and numeracy test. Satisfactory health clearance and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (formally CRB Disclosure) required.
