In the Built Environment Foundation programme at the Oxford Brookes University, you will develop your understanding and problem-solving and gain other key skills in the design and development of cities. To help develop your practical skills our course combines;

Career prospects
Foundation Built Environment is principally intended as a route to further study at degree level - and exists to develop & enhance academic skills. It will allow you to choose the most suitable area of degree specialism within the School, and make plans for the subsequent professional education that ensues.
Various teaching and learning methods are employed - lectures, seminars, tutorials, and workshops - which will test written expression, presentation skills, independent learning, and working in groups.

- A Level: 48 points from 2 A Level or equivalent
- GCSE: Mathematics - grade 4/C; English - grade 4/C normally required
Applicants must:
- be in appropriate employment
- have a minimum of two years' relevant work experience.
- A reference from your employer to support the application will be required.
- Applicants must also satisfy the foundation degree interview requirements.
Applicants aged under 21 should normally have:
- a minimum of two subjects at A-level or Applied A-level, with three or four at GCSE or O-level
or
- a National Certificate or Diploma or other equivalent qualifications, such as GNVQ/NVQ or other Level 3 vocational qualifications
- Advanced Diploma Level 3
