Overview
The Film and Media Production (Hons) program offered by Staffordshire University will provide you with the skills to work in your desired field, whether you have a passion for advertising promotion, a flair for music, an enthusiasm for experimental film, or you want to master behind the scenes technology.
Join us and you’ll learn how to research, develop, write, produce, direct, shoot, edit and promote your own creative portfolio of short films. You’ll also develop professional skills in areas such as camera operation, sound recording, documentary film making, art direction, editing, sound design and post-production.
During your second and third years we provide you with the opportunity to choose from a wide range of specialism subjects within different pathways of study should or, if you prefer, you can combine specialism subjects for a broader study of film and media production.
To develop your knowledge and understanding of the film and media discipline you’ll have the opportunity to complete an industrial placement between the second and third year of your course.
