Along with a foundation in business and management this course enables you to use economic techniques to analyse markets and evaluate business strategies. You will also have opportunities to explore areas including financial markets, business ethics, game theory and behavioural economics.All of our business degrees share the same first year, offering you the flexibility to change your final degree title. 

At the end of your first year you can choose to continue with a Business Management with Economics and Placement Year BSc(Hons), or to choose one of the other specialisms. Business Management with Economics and Placement Year (Hons) is offered by University of Brighton.

  • A-levels or BTEC
Entry requirements are in the range of A-level BBC–CCC (112–96 UCAS Tariff points), or BTEC Extended Diploma DMM–MMM. Our conditional offers typically fall within this range. 
  • International Baccalaureate
30 points including 16 at Higher Level.
  • Access to HE Diploma
Pass with 60 credits overall. Units in business or management required. At least 45 credits at level 3, with 30 credits at merit or above.
  • GCSE (minimum grade C or grade 4)
At least English language and maths at grade 4.
  • Foundation degree/HND
May enable you to start the course in year 2. Relevant subjects required. HNC may also count towards direct entry.
