Overview

This Law with Criminology and International Study offered at The University of Manchester is a joint honours degree, allowing you to benefit from the extensive legal and criminological expertise at Manchester. You will learn how to contextualise crime in its wider social and political setting, as well as how to evaluate new policy developments in law and justice.

You will develop an understanding of the nature and complexity of the criminal justice system in the UK, and the ability to think globally and consider comparative approaches to legal, criminological and socio-legal issues, while establishing the professional connections necessary for a variety of legal, criminal justice and public service careers.

Combining these two closely related subjects with international study will allow you to acquire a practical understanding of legal, criminal justice and cultural issues within an international context, and develop the skills, knowledge and professional connections necessary for a variety of legal, criminal justice and public service careers.

You'll apply for the International Exchange Programme in your second year of study.
