Overview

Students in the Civil Engineering programme from  VILNIUS TECH learn to design buildings and structures using the latest design tools and calculation methods, to modernize construction technologies, and to effectively organize and manage design and construction processes. 

What will I be able to do?

• Design buildings and structures using modern design principles, calculation tools, and construction technologies
• Perform and assess geotechnical investigations
• Select effective technical solutions and problem-solving strategies
• Organize and manage construction processes, optimize the use of materials and resources, reduce labor costs, and carry out economic evaluations of projects
• Evaluate the suitability of materials and structures, select the correct calculation methods, and prepare or lead building and structural design projects using advanced computer-aided design software
• Manage building design processes by applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles
• Assess building and structural quality, ensure fire, civil, and occupational safety, and apply innovative construction materials and solutions

• Solve geotechnical design and construction challenges, apply appropriate technical and technological solutions, and supervise design and construction processes.
