About

The Psychology with Criminology (Hons) degree from De Montfort University gives you an understanding of theories and research regarding the scientific study of mind and behavior. You will also receive research methods training and be supported to undertake your own original Psychology research project in the final year of your studies.

A psychology degree can open up diverse career options in areas such as research, healthcare, social work, marketing, the police services, teaching and human resources.

On completion of the course you will also be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS); your first step to becoming a chartered psychologist.  With this course you can combine the study of psychology and human behavior with a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system.

Graduate Careers

Many of our students continue on to further postgraduate study within Psychology, along a number of accredited pathways.  For example, you may wish to continue your professional development with one of the postgraduate degrees delivered by the Psychology Division at DMU.
