Highlights

The lectures cover a broad range of topics in Economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, applied, public, international and business economics... You will also get the opportunity to learn and use the Bloomberg database and take the Bloomberg certificate (BMC).

To enhance your immersion in France, you will also be offered the opportunity to study French as a foreign language. Depending on your proficiency, you may consider taking different courses: beginner, elementary, intermediate or advanced courses

You may also complete an internship (up to 3 months) after the two academic semesters of the Business and Applied Economics programme from University of Rennes.

Careers and opportunities

International Graduate Programme in Applied Economics for Business, Finance and Markets

After obtaining the Bachelor's Degree in Business and Applied Economics degree, you can enter the International Graduate Programme in Applied Economics for Business, Finance and Markets (IGP) at the faculty.

European Master's Degree

The Bachelor's Degree in Business and Applied Economics is part of the European Bachelor's - Master's - PhD system (LMD in French [Licence - Master - Doctorat]), which allows students to continue their studies in any Master's Degree of their choice in any European country (subject to acceptance by the university concerned).

Job Market

Students can also choose to enter the job market directly after obtaining the Bachelor's Degree in Business and Applied Economics.

Accreditation

The Bachelor's Degree has accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education, based on the HCERES evaluation (High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education), according to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.

General requirements

Proficiency in Economics, General Management and Quantitative skills

Case 1: You have at least two years of undergraduate studies in those fields. We will consider the average of your grades from the last two years as well as the grades of specific courses.

Case 2: You are proficient in scientific areas such as physics, mathematics and statistics. You can be admitted to the Bachelor program, provided that you previously attend the one-week intensive refresher course in Management and Economics (extra tuition fees).

Proficiency in English

You need a certificate showing a minimum B2 proficiency level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR).
