The Accounting (Major) with Spanish BSc degree offered at Queen's University Belfast offers students a competitive advantage by learning skills in the technical application of accounting while developing key oral, aural and written skills in a modern language.

Integral to the Accounting with Spanish programme is the placement year which students complete in a region of the world where the language studied is the dominant tongue.

The language modules will advance students’ skills in the language and provide a broad range of specialised and detailed insights into the culture, society and history that go with it, fostering cultural awareness which students will need for their compulsory year abroad, and later, for the world of work.

Normally the majority of our students become qualified accountants. AAB including A-level Spanish grade B or AS-level Spanish grade B or GCSE Spanish grade B/6 or evidence of linguistic ability in another language + GCSE Mathematics grade B/6

Irish leaving certificate requirements:

H2H3H3H3H3H3 including Higher Level grade H3 in Spanish or evidence of linguistic ability in another language + if not offered at Higher Level then Ordinary Level grade O3 in Mathematics

Access Course:

Successful completion of Access Course with an average of 75% + GCSE Mathematics grade B/6 or equivalent in Access Course.

NB Language requirements must also be satisfied

International Baccalaureate Diploma

34 points overall, including 6,6,5 (Spanish) at Higher Level. If not offered at Higher Level then Standard Level grade 5 in Mathematics or GCSE Mathematics grade B/6.
