Description
This prize was founded in 1978 by the Faculty of Law when Sir Robert Lowry indicated that he did not wish to accept remuneration during the academic year 1977-78 for the post of part time lecturer to which he had been appointed. The money saved, £711, was allocated as a special arrangement to fund a prize in the Faculty of Law, the title of such prize and terms under which it would be awarded to be settled by the Faculty of Law and the Academic Council.
