About this Program

The Secondary - Social Sciences integrated program at McGill University consists of academic studies, professional studies, and school-based practicum components. All of this is supported by studies in pedagogy, curriculum and educational foundations. There are 2 options in Social Sciences:

The Secondary Social Sciences – History, Citizenship and Geography program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in History and Geography.

The Secondary Social Sciences - History and Citizenship, Ethics and Religious Culture program provides students with the learning opportunities needed to become proficient Social Science teachers with a strong knowledge base in the associated disciplinary areas.
