Syllabus

The programme is designed to develop your design capabilities progressively over three years:

• Year One: Design Practices, Communications – sketching and drawing in 3 dimensions, Digital Making and CAD, Production in Furniture and Product Design, Wicked Problems: The Complexity of Critical Design Thinking, Communicating and Externalising.
• Year Two: Sustainability, Human Centred Design, Industry Live, Professional Practice, Independent Project, Critical Design Thinking and Contemporary Issues, Professional Placement Year.
• Year Three: Defining Your Practice, Public Platform, Design Futures: Independent Critical Project, Portfolio, Final Project.
