Overview

The Biological Sciences (Hons) programme at Loughborough University explores topics ranging from genetics, biochemistry and cell biology to physiology, human evolution and regenerative medicine. You'll be able to tailor your studies to suit your interests and career goals through a variety of optional modules, undertake a final project of your own choosing, and develop practical skills in our specialist laboratories, including the £17m STEMLab.

Graduates from our bioscience programmes have secured jobs as research scientists in universities, research institutions and the bioscience industry, as well as NHS clinical scientists and genetic counsellors. Bioscience graduates have also gone on to careers in the development of cell therapies, product development and testing, clinical trials coordination, research administration in academia or charities, and teaching. Some students have also chosen to progress onto postgraduate study.
