At Media (Hons) from Edge Hill University you will be provided with opportunities to discover how the traditional media channels of radio, film and television continue to thrive and adapt, as well as examine social media and other communication formats such as podcasting and vlogging and the ever-widening reach of streaming platforms like Spotify and Netflix. You will be immersed in the various forms of media which have emerged, flourished and entered the popular global consciousness, while exploring the considerable impact they’ve had on culture and politics.

Typical career paths include marketing, social media, journalism, broadcasting, filmmaking, a broad range of roles in the creative and cultural industries, starting your own business, teaching (further training required) or research.
