Global Sustainability Science offers 5 tracks, allowing you to choose which direction you would like to take during the programme.

Water, Climate & Ecosystems: Overcome environmental degradation and create solutions for humans, animals and plants
Energy & Resources: Solving climate change by transforming the way energy is produced and consumed
Sustainable & Healthy Food: Transforming our food system to be healthy, sustainable and just
Governance & Societal Transformation: Transforming societal and policy processes to drive sustainable choice behaviour and impactful change
Business & Innovation: Innovating business for a sustainable, net-zero future

Programme Structure

The study programme includes lectures in large classes but also activities in smaller groups, such as projects, group assignments and computer practicals.

In your second year, you'll choose to follow one or more of five tracks to deepen your understanding in a specific sustainability science theme

In the Global Sustainability Science programme, 25% of your courses are electives. As electives, you can choose courses from another track, do a minor or go abroad for a semester. There are many possibilities to customize your study programme to your own preferences.
