The Faculty of Law at Bond is a premier skills-based law school that focuses on teaching both the substance and skills of the law. We deliver a rigorous law curriculum that focuses on the academic development of students, providing an exceptionally high-quality learning experience characterised by a professional and practical emphasis. 

You will learn essential skills – such as legal research and reasoning, legal writing and drafting, oral communication and advocacy, dispute resolution and collaboration, legal ethics and professionalism – in a simulated legal environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Bachelor of Laws is an approved degree for admission as a legal practitioner in all Australian jurisdictions, in conjunction with further study (Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice) or a traineeship.

The Bachelor of Laws prepares graduates to pursue careers in the public or private sectors, such as solicitors, barristers, government lawyers, in-house counsel, judge's associates, academics or business leaders. Bond Law graduates are employed in top-tier law firms throughout Australia and overseas, including Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Scandinavia, Singapore, United Kingdom, and the USA.

The Bachelor of Laws degree may be used to apply for admission internationally. However, students are always advised to confirm admission requirements in the particular jurisdiction in which they wish to practice law.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

  • Applicants with recent secondary education (within the past two years)
  • As a general rule, Bond University imposes a minimum age requirement of 17 years and a minimum entry score (expressed as an OP, ATAR, IB or equivalent). 
  • Applicants require a minimum entry score equivalent to OP15 or higher (ATAR 63.50 for admission) to be considered for admission into our bachelor programs.  
  • Applicants who are about to complete their final Year 12 assessment will be also considered, based on the predicted OP, ATAR or IB score provided by their school.
