Overview

What will you learn 

• Insights in international business: Get a deep understanding of the global business world by covering topics such as accounting, marketing, economics, etc. 
• Entrepreneurial mindset: Through project work and hands-on learning, you will enhance your can-do mentality to run a business (own or other) in a variety of roles. 

• Innovative and future-proof: Deep dive into business topics such as global trade and digital strategy through the modules and electives in year 2 and 3. 

Year 1: Foundations of International Business within a modular system. Experience a dynamic learning approach with our four concise terms called sprints, each spanning 8 weeks. In this concentrated timeframe we combine a limited number of courses in one module where all teaching activities and assessments occur. This fosters focused learning, provides you with faster, more and concrete feedback and enhances flexibility in your educational journey with us. 

Year 2 further expands your skills through a unique modular approach. In each module, you take a deep dive into a cluster of trending topics for a period of eight weeks. Each module contains classes, real business challenges, guest lectures, company visits and your assessments. Once you have completed the module, you move on to the next. This allows you to dedicate your focus to one subject at a time and improves your learning process. 

Year 3: Going abroad is a very popular option. Most students take up studying one semester at one of our international partner institutions or go on an internship abroad. Or they simply do both and spend a whole year abroad! 

Staying in Ghent has its perks too, a city that lures many of the international students. Choose a combination of fascinating modules and an elective course.

Multiple Degrees

Students with an excellent study track and good grades can, when selected, obtain a Multiple Degree.  

This can be a Double Degree or even a Triple Degree.  

This means that you obtain the degree of Bachelor of International Business Management from Artevelde University of Applied Sciences and the diploma of the Multiple Degree partner institution(s). 

Every Multiple Degree is different.  

• The Double Degree with Austria (UAS Upper Austria) can be obtained in only one semester 
• The Double Degree with Canada (BCIT, Vancouver) takes a full extra year: years 1, 2 and 4 at Artevelde UAS, year 3 at BCIT. 
• The Double Degree with our US (Millikin University) partner: years 1 and 2 at Artevelde UAS and year 3 at Millikin University and a summer internship. 
• During the Triple Degree you need to spend each year in a different city: year 1 in Ghent, year 2 in Cologne (CBS International Business School) and year 3 in Brussels (EPHEC). 

After graduation 

Graduates find jobs in multinational corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, start-ups, and other international business settings. 

97% of the students find a job within one year of graduation. 

• (International) Business Analyst = market research, analyse trends and opportunities, strategic decision-making 
• International Marketing Specialist = develop and implement global marketing strategies, adapt messages to diverse audiences for effective brand promotion 
• Export Coordinator = manage the end-to-end export process, facilitate smooth international transactions for goods and services 
• etc.
