Overview
Dalhousie University 's International Development Studies programme is dedicated to deepening your understanding of social justice, human rights, and equality on both global and local levels, through engaging study, research, and cross-cultural experiences. The programme is built around two key pillars: development theory and practice, and the global/local perspective. With expertise in areas such as gender, culture, human security, rural development, migration, health, Indigenous peoples, and global citizenship, our faculty provides a comprehensive and dynamic learning experience.
Additional areas of expertise are drawn from over 50 cross-appointed and adjunct faculty members who teach courses and/or supervise our honours thesis and graduate students.
