Overview
Dalhousie University 's Management programme with a major in Entrepreneurship and Innovation provides students with a business and management foundation that teaches students how to organize and lead organizations to respond to internal and external pressures. Once you’ve completed your foundation with a major in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, you’ll focus on the principles and skills you need to create or support new ventures, either independently or in organizations.
What you will learn
- Learn about management issues related to planning, organizing, leading, and controlling within a variety of venues including for-profit, not-for-profit, and public sectors. Examine the interactions among the environment, technology, society, organizations, and people.
- You will also learn aboutâ¯entrepreneurial thinking and be exposed to the issues, problems, and challenges of developing new ventures.
There is an optional internship available for Bachelor of Management students during their third year of study. The internship will take place between the third academic year and the final academic year for a duration of 8 or 12 months.
You will have the opportunity to work with professionals in your chosen field and combine relevant job experience with classroom studies. The internship is designed to be a career investment used to build upon skills, professional experiences, and connections to enhance your employability after graduation.
Managers are needed in all kinds of fields, so this programme has unparalleled space and flexibility to draw on the breadth of other subjects at Dalhousie. You can choose from literally hundreds of minors and certificates from across the university.
