Description
In the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, Quercus College Scholarships of €500 each, tenable for one year, are offered for competition, based on the results of each of the Summer First, Second and Third year University Examinations in programmes offered by the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences.

The College shall normally award one scholarship of €500 (subject to 3 and 4 above) to the highest scoring student in each year of each programme (other than final year).
The Head of College shall also have discretion to make one or more awards (of a reduced amount if deemed appropriate).
Eligibility
- In order to be eligible for the award of a Quercus College Scholarship, a student must be registered as a full-time student in University College Cork in the year immediately following the examinations on which the award of a scholarship will be assessed
- Second Year Quercus College Scholarships may be awarded on the results of the Summer First University Examinations. Similarly, Third Year Scholarships may be awarded on the results of the Second Year Examinations, and so on.
- Each recipient of a scholarship shall also be awarded the title of Quercus College Scholar, followed by an appropriate descriptor based on their degree programme: Arts, Social Sciences, Music, Arts-Music, Applied Psychology, Early Years and Childhood Studies, Drama and Theatre Studies, Sports Studies and Physical Education.
