Overview
The BDes and MEDes programmes equip students with a diverse skill set and thorough understanding of design’s evolving role as the creative and strategic link between technology and society. Both programmes offer opportunities for international study, as well as the possibility to participate in live projects with businesses and public-sector organisations. As a result, our graduates have a unique, multicultural perspective that prepares them for all sorts of creative possibilities.
The Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme in Product Design from The Glasgow School of Art challenges conventional perceptions of product design as a solely industrial discipline, focusing instead on reimagining experiences and responding to the complexities of modern life. Our students work beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and engage with specialist expertise from other domains, such as science, medicine or technology, to create a vision of a better future.
