Description
Dedicated to supporting efforts, across the nation, to improve healthcare and primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, Andrew and Peggy Cherng have made it one of their personal missions to provide the means to expand the number of highly trained teachers and healthcare professionals.
Panda-Mizzou Scholars are awarded a scholarship of $2,500 per year for all undergraduate students. The scholarship is renewable each academic year until 2024.

$2,500 per year until 2024 only for students pursuing majors in education or healthcare-related fields.
Eligibility
- Be pursuing one of the following majors or pre-professional tracks: education (or any education related major with intention to pursue an education career), health professions, nursing, or any other pre-med majors (including pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, podiatry, and pre-medical school).
- Demonstrate high or medium/high financial need as defined by the Office of Financial Aid
- Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
- Be in good standing as an active member of the Honors College

Incoming freshman who are eligible for this scholarship will be recommended based off their Honors College application materials.
There is no separate application for this scholarship. If you receive this award you will be notified in early March and it will be included in your financial aid package from the University of Missouri.
Under special circumstances, and if funding is available, current honors students might be included in special calls for applications or nominations to become a Panda-Mizzou Scholar.
