Description
This is an award for prospective new international undergraduate and postgraduate taught students. Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees.
Benefits
This £7,000 per year award is designed to support outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate international students from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East starting their studies in the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic years.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Principal’s Excellence Scholarship - Global, you must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
- Hold an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree, on campus, at Abertay in the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic year.
- Have met all academic conditions attached to your offer of admission for entry to the University as a new full-time student.
The award will contribute to each year of degree, up to a maximum of four years, while you are studying in Dundee.
Students who are admitted with Advanced Entry into Year 2 or above of an undergraduate programme, and who meet the above conditions, will also be eligible for this award.

No separate application form is required, and you will be assessed for the scholarship based on your application for study and your personal statement. If you meet all the eligibility criteria and are awarded a Principal’s Excellence Scholarship, you will be notified by us by email following your offer of study.
