Győr has always been an important city of education. The Jesuit Academy founded in 1718 offered theological, philosophical and juridical training, and from 1745 secular students could also study at the institution. The Royal Academy of Gyõr began its work in 1776. Giants of literature and jurisprudence pursued studies here such as Ferenc Deák, László Csányi (he was the Minister of Transport and Labour in 1848 after István Széchenyi) and Kálmán Mikszáth.

Really nice. The university takes care of the students. They have a facebook page that they use and you can know all the news and details, and also you can contact university staff there.
Studying at the Széchenyi István University was an excellent time of my life, and I enjoyed my stay at the city, although the teaching and the curriculum itself was not satisfying enough. I don't feel like I improved in the term of engineering as much as i wanted to. There are some unforgetable teachers, but all in all i think the University needs some minor improvements...
In my field is really nice because the architecture university is awsome. Actually the building is small, nevertheless there are a workshop and it still open 24 hours ,365 days per year so it is pefect to work there. Anyway the design subjects have groups of 5 or 6 people each one so it is perfect for a design class.
