Student services
You will find information on the degree programmes offered and additional information (admission, matriculation, etc.) on regular courses of study under the heading "Studies". You can search by various criteria, including language of instruction. Students with foreign IDs must submit additional documents as part of the usual registration formalities for matriculation.
Housing services
The various sites of Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH are located in the heart of Switzerland – in idyllic Canton Berne. BFH is not, however, a campus university in the true sense of the word, having only a limited supply of student accommodation. Students are responsible for their own housing needs.
Library services
The strength of the libraries at Bern University of Applied Sciences lies in their specialisation. Together they offer over 250,000 books and other physical media. More than 17,000 subscribed e-journals, around 100,000 purchased e-books and 70 licensed databases are available for online use.
ICT services
The IT Services Department is responsible for the IT infrastructure at Bern University of Applied Sciences and provides help to lecturers, staff members and students by offering professional services. Do not hesitate to contact us with your enquiry.
Medical services
From the first of January following their twentieth birthday, Swiss and foreign students with legal residence in Switzerland must pay 480 francs a year (minimum contribution) into the Age and Surviving Dependants' insurance, Disability insurance, and Military Income Loss insurance fund.
Sports facilities
The Bern University of Applied Sciences offers its members varied and attractive leisure activities in the sports and cultural fields.The Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH offers its students and employees a wide range of attractive sports activities and events. Its offer includes courses and training, as well as various game tournaments and a sports day, "the games", which takes place every year at the beginning of summer on the site of the Federal High School of Sport of Macolin HEFSM.
