Positive experience, professors understanding, modern infrastructure - sometimes an overwhelming amount of work. An interesting system with 'modules', leading to a more harmonious learning experience (for the most part - one module combines human biology with plant biology, which isn't very fun)
From what I can say what you are able to achieve and experience really depends on what deparment you enroll in. I myself went to Physics and Math. There were some room for improvement but compared to other subjects that were conducted by another deperaments it was a VERY different experience.The labs are conducted differently, they have different equipment (which bothers me) and teachers acts differently.
Overall, I consider Gda?sk University of Technology to be a very solid institution with a great reputation. However, the Control Engineering program feels a bit outdated. There is an overwhelming amount of unnecessary theoretical knowledge, while the number of practical classes where you can actually learn job-ready skills is far too low.
