History

Kozminski University, founded in 1993, is a private institution of higher education with full academic rights. Since 2009 Kozminski University is classified in the prestigious educational rankings provided by the ‘Financial Times’ – Business School Rankings. Moreover, for the past 17 consecutive years it holds first place throughout private universities in educational rankings.

Student services

The Student Support and Service Center aims to help foreign students to adapt to the University and Polish culture in a fast and simple way. Here every foreign student can tell us about his/her problem and receive support and guidance on a wide range of academic and personal issues.

Housing services

Our main hall (600 m2) not only provides a proper rest area for students, it can also be used as an exhibition area. Book fairs, work fairs and art exhibitions are held there on a regular basis.

Although the University does not yet own residential facilities for students, those coming from outside Warsaw as well as international students can rent rooms in private flats throughout the city - a customary practice in Warsaw.

Library services

The Kozminski University Library is committed to being a user-oriented, electronic research library of high international standard. Our goal is to take the lead in IT. For example, IT is used in the development of new dissemination methods and services and the library constantly works to improve and intensify contacts with its primary user groups (students and academics).

ICT services

All students have access to 7 computer laboratories with 235 PCs, which are replaced every four years. Throughout their period of studies, Kozminski University students have access to the following: 

  • network login ID and password
  • remote access to an e-mail system
  • a mailbox with 25 mb capacity 
  • space for personal WWW sites (25 mb) 
  • access to library resources through the WWW

Medical services

Kozminski University covers the costs of visits to the general practitioner and the cost of laboratory tests obtained by referral from an internist in LUXMED Group Medical Centers. The cost of visits to other specialists are not refunded by the University, but you can get a 10% discount after presenting a Kozminski Student ID card.

Student Life

Campus life

Kozminski University is the sole proprietor of all the buildings on its campus. The school now has 6 large auditoriums (each seating between 100 and 200 people) as well as 26 classrooms (seating 50 to 100 people) and 24 workshop classrooms (seating up to 50 people).

Larger classrooms and all auditoriums possess audio-visual equipment. The school owns 5 seminar and discussion group rooms, as well as a Senate Hall (seating 120 people), 4 computer labs and 2 server rooms.

The 4 cafeterias are available for faculty and students and are located on our premises as well as a bookstore, 2 photocopying offices, coffee machines, ATMs, a post office, student organization offices.

Sports facilities

The University also owns several sport facilities. These include 1 playing field and 2 sports halls. In addition it rents out a swimming pool, a sauna - and basketball and volleyball courts.

Student clubs

Students of The University are involved in university life through active participation in scientific clubs. The aim of the research groups is to enable the improvement of the knowledge in accordance to the interests and practical skills acquired by the students during classes.

The University Student Council is an incredible adventure; it is a perfect place for those, who want to develop their passions, accomplish their goals, pursue dreams but at the same time gain valuable experience. They are here because they want the voice of the student community to be strong. They create student life events, promote the University and support all kinds of student initiatives.

Accreditation

Amongst business school accreditations, the most prestigious and difficult to acquire are EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB (the so-called ‘Triple Crown’ of accreditation). Currently,  less than 70 business schools in the world hold these three accreditations. In 2011, Kozminski University joined this prestigious group.
