Student services
The Student Resource Center (SRC) is the hub of extracurricular activities and resources for living in Austria. The SRC is responsible for the Webster Vienna LEADS program, student events and helping students get more involved in clubs and on-campus activities. Among other support services, the SRC provides:
- Residence permit assistance
- New student orientation
- Community-building events
- Life skills workshops
- Assistance with administrative processes in Austria, like signing up for health insurance and registering your address.
Housing services
Webster Vienna doesn’t offer housing within the Palais Wenkheim where classes take place, so students live off-campus. All students receive information and guidance about accommodation options once they’re admitted.
Our Student Resources Center has a partnership with a housing option for our study abroad students, and the Admissions team provides information like brochures and contact information about affordable student housing options throughout Vienna.
Most students live in off-campus student dormitories, like The Social Hub or Milestone, while others live independently elsewhere in Vienna.
Library services
As a Webster Vienna student, you have access to our amazing library resources.
Our librarian Benjamin Fasching-Gray has worked with Webster Vienna for many years and is available five days per week to answer student inquiries and assist with finding the right periodical for your needs.
ICT services
Webster Vienna has a fully staffed IT team to support technology troubleshooting for students on campus.
Medical services
The Student Resource Center (SRC) can provide guidance with administrative processes in Austria, like signing up for health insurance.
Campus life
Vienna is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit. In 2014, Webster Vienna moved to the historic, beautiful, fully renovated Palais Wenkheim. All classes, evening lectures, new student orientation and other on-campus events take place in this historic building.
Our campus is very urban, surrounded by the hip and bustling second district—known as Leopoldstadt—and just a 15-minute walk to the city’s famous giant ferris wheel and Prater Park. A grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, gyms and a subway station are located immediately outside our front door.
More than 40 international organizations call Vienna home, including the United Nations.
Sports facilities
While Palais Wenkheim does not have onsite sports facilities: students can join clubs or social groups to participate in extracurricular activities. The city of Vienna offers various sport suggestions and facilities.
Student clubs
Webster Vienna has a vibrant community with several clubs and groups through which you can connect with other students.
At Webster Vienna, there are many events and activities designed to entertain, inform and challenge. Faculty, staff and students also work together to organize network opportunities from academic conferences and workshops to international forums.
The Student Government Association advocates on behalf of students’ right and needs, and serves as an avenue through which students can raise concerns and make recommendations to the benefit of all, uniting the views and ideas of all students on campus.
