History
In retrospect, it is now clear how prudent it was back in 1975 to establish a university based on combining strong subject areas with interdisciplinary research and teaching. The questions facing our globalized society are becoming more and more complex. The right answers can only be found through close, cross-disciplinary cooperation – one of the University’s main assets.
Education
Several of the bachelor's programmes are offered in major/minor combinations: at the start of their studies, new students select a minor subject area that is integrated into the degree programme.
Now that you have your bachelor's degree, you would like to deepen your knowledge or pursue your own research? Are you looking to better position yourself for a successful career? Or maybe you would like to introduce a whole new direction to your previous education by taking a non-linear career path to an exciting new field? If so, pursuing a master's degree may be just the thing for you. A master's gives you greater flexibility. It enables you to develop an area of specialization and offers many valuable experiences.
