The School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences at Queen Mary University of London traces its roots back to the establishment of Queen Mary College in 1887. Originally focusing on humanities, it expanded to include biology in the early 20th century. Through mergers and restructuring, it evolved into its current form, fostering interdisciplinary research and education.

Medical services
There is a free Student Health Service available on campus (located in the Geography Building at Mile End Campus). The Student Health Service is provided by Suttons Wharf Health Centre.The Student Health Service provides a complete range of medical services including immunisations, sexual health advice and psychological counselling.
Campus life
Our Mile End campus offers a community where you can live, relax and study. We have two shops, four cafés, two restaurants, a bar, a gym, a bookshop and a bank on site. There’s plenty of green and outdoor space, but you’re only minutes away from Central London’s bustling streets. Most of your lectures will be based here as well as a 24/7 open library. The campus also hosts the location of the Fogg Building, the dedicated space for The School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences.
Sports facilities
Qmotion is the sports and fitness centre located at the mile end campus. It offers a modern fitness facility with cardio and strength equipment, group exercise classes, personal training, and fitness assessments.
