History
The history of MUL goes back to 1944 when the Faculty of Medicine was included as part of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. In 1950 the Faculty separated from MCSU to form the Medical Academy. Throughout the years, new areas of research and education, such as nursing, pharmacy, or dentistry, were added.
Education
The Medical University of Lublin offers education at various levels (bachelor’s degree studies, master’s studies, doctoral studies) in many fields of medical sciences: medicine, dentistry, nursing, midwifery, physical therapy, laboratory diagnostics, and many other. MD, DDS, nursing, and midwifery are conducted also in English and available to international students.
Education offered at MUL reconciles solid foundation of knowledge and thorough practical training in clinical settings. Our aim is to fully develop each student’s potential and prepare them to pursue the medical professions of their choice. Our efforts to shape best future medical professionals are founded on a well-structured curriculum.
Research
The Medical University of Lublin is also a research institution. Students interested in particular areas are associated in the Student Research Associations. National and international research projects are run by staff and students, and may be financed through a variety of sources. Doctoral school offers studies in different fields leading to PhD title. The investigations conducted at the Medical University of Lublin are presented in several hundred research papers published yearly in professional journals. We have own Experimental Medicine Center which allows to conduct differential research.
Career
Our University is proud of its long tradition in education of English Language Students from around the world in the Medicine and Dentistry fields. Our graduates have been practicing in their countries on all continents in hospitals, clinics, out-patients and laboratories as well as educational and research institutions.

University Ranking
Student services
All students at the university receive administrative support. Each Faculty has its own dean’s office which assists students during their course of study, including enrolment issues, coursework, assessments and exams, documents required by various institutions, and other. Students are also offered help regarding the financial issues.
Housing services
Lublin offers a lot in terms of student accommodation, ranging from student dorms to shared student flats or independent apartments. The price and quality may vary depending on the chosen type of accommodation and proximity to the University Campus.
In general students would pay around 1000 - 2000 PLN for a single room and from 2000 to more than 3000 PLN for independent apartment.
Medical University of Lublin has 3 dormitories, which can accommodate up to 650 students. Dormitories are located close to the main university premises.
Library services
The Medical University of Lublin has its own Library with Multimedia reading room along with specialistic libraries within the department.

ICT services
All of the campus, along with the clinical hospitals, is covered with University wi-fi, available to students free of charge. There are also computers available within the library and study rooms in various University buildings.
Medical services
Healthcare facilities are on and off the campus and their availability depends on the insurance the student has. Additionally, students are provided with emergency medical assistance including basic medical counseling and most important information and guidance by the University employees. Psychological counselling is also provided.
Campus life
The school operates on a modern campus close to the center of Lublin. It consists of a number of didactic buildings hosting departments, didactic rooms, laboratories, and lecture halls; three university hospitals, including a children’s one; Dental Center, Medical Simulation Center, Experimental Medicine Center, the main library and reading rooms, dormitories, administration buildings, and a new Sports Center, currently under construction.
Most buildings, including dormitories, are within a 15/20-minute walk. Students can also use efficient public transport services (reduced bus fares for students under 26) or the city bike service.
Sports facilities
Sports facilities include a modern, multifunctional sports arena for 1000 spectators, with volleyball, basketball, handball, football and badminton fields inside; available are also: 15m climbing wall, big gym and aerobic area, fitness room, 2 squash courts, table tennis and fight sports rooms, and the outside space for streetball, beach volleyball and tennis as well as the outside gym. Sports facilities are located within the campus area and are therefore easily available to all students of the Medical University of Lublin.
Student clubs
The Medical University of Lublin encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. Apart from scientific circles, the societies and organizations operating at MUL include:
