History
California Miramar University was founded in early 2005. Later that year the University purchased the California State Approval asset of another school, Pacific Western University – California, which was located in Los Angeles. This State Approval saved CMU several years in its process of accreditation.
Education
California Miramar University is an accredited online university, offering undergraduate and graduate business degree programs. Courses are taught using a comprehensive Learning Management System (Moodle) that includes all learning resources and course materials and facilitates meaningful engagement and interactions between the students and their instructors.

In support of the mission of California Miramar University of providing quality educational programs, the mission of the Library is to provide services and resources to meet the educational, information, and research needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Accreditation
California Miramar University currently holds recognized accreditation directly with the United States Department of Education.
