Alaska Pacific University (APU) is a private, independent university that emphasizes personal growth through student-centered, experiential education using Alaska, the Arctic and the Pacific Rim as laboratories for learning. We are a dynamic and growing liberal arts and professional studies university offering undergraduate, graduate and degree completion programs in an experiential mode. Alaska Pacific is dedicated to developing future and current leaders who have lifelong and critical learning skills. The faculty is expected to be flexible and willing to teach within an interdisciplinary environment – one that allows for teamwork, experimentation, and growth.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2019. By rating institutions on a scale from 1 to 5, on multiple studies-related questions, we found the top educators in the world.
An important aspect of the collegiate experience is finding ways to get involved, participate in the community, and connect with your peers outside the classroom. Here at APU we believe every student has the potential to reach new goals and find their passion. We are dedicated to helping students develop unique programs and opportunities to help them find their passion and achieve their goals.
We are pleased to provide a safe environment conducive to the educational, social, and overall developmental growth of the resident. We work to promote the concepts of wellness and community to those living within our halls as well as to the university as a whole.

We are dedicated to the social and mental well-being of our residents, as well as their physical comfort while living on campus.
Just across the street from the Atwood Center & Carr-Gottstein Building lies the Moseley Sports Center, the main center for our recreation programs on campus.
At Moseley, you’ll find a comprehensive lineup of aquatic, fitness, sports, recreation, and wellness activities. Most of the services are provided at no charge to students and at greatly reduced rates for APU employees, as well as alumni and their families.
Here you will find the different clubs and student groups that currently exist at APU. If you are looking to get involved and join a group be sure to check these out! If we don’t have it, then start it! As a member of the APU community, just because you didn’t see the club one year or it was not listed does not mean you can’t start you own club! Our organizations vary from year to depending on student interest but that never deters new clubs from starting up and thriving! If you can find other students who are interested in your ideas, bring your idea to ASAPU and they will help you get focused and headed in the right direction.
Alaska Pacific University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
